Boot Camp

Boot Camp is a fun and exciting way to train, lose weight, tone up, meet friends and take another step towards your health and fitness goals.

In the spring and summer we use the beauty of our local park and the energy of a small, fun and friendly group to challenge you to go further than you ever thought possible! Boot Camp classes are deliberately kept small and friendly – maximum of around 20 people per class.

When autumn and winter comes we meet in a local hall where we can safely continue the challenge and the fun, this time with some motivating music to help keep us moving.

Typical workouts include circuit-style training with cardio intervals, group games and full bodyweight exercises such as press-ups, squats, step-ups etc. We use various fitness equipment where relevant such as bands, ropes, small balls and kettle bells. Mats are also provided.

I also do regular Fitness Testing to encourage and motivate people. This mean that where appropriate you will be put into a Group with people at a similar fitness level for certain exercises. You can then work at your level and not be slowed down or intimidated if people are working at a higher level.

The Test is woven in to the class itself so you may not even know you are being tested although I will tell you! It will involve testing the five elements of fitness. These are: strength, stamina, agility, flexibility and co-ordination. The Fitness Test is great fun. These sessions are always accompanied by much mirth!
